Black Panther’s Wakanda is a real place but it’s not what you’re expecting 

I. Marvel’s latest film Black Panther has been smashing box office records, inspiring millions of budding superheroes and flooring fans thanks to all of the action and special effects. 

II. Therefore it’s no surprise that movie-goers are trying to have their own Black Pantherinspired trip. After all, Wakanda’s spectacular landscapes offer up plenty of travel inspiration. 

III. The bad news for holidaymakers is that the nation of Wakanda itself is very much fictional – but there is a real place called Wakanda. It just won’t be quite what action heroes are expecting. 

IV. For a start, Wakanda Park isn’t located in the heart of Africa, but actually in the city of Menomonie, in USA’s Wisconsin.
